Down the lane

When I came into this world… I was my Daddy’s little girl

I was so small and soft, he held me in his arms

So that he can keep me safe from all the harms

At each dawn, he sees me grow,

And at each dusk we watch out of window

The bird humming solo

Later on I realised he’s my Hero

I truly admired and adored him,

For the very fine reason I learnt from him

That why sky is blue

And how one plus one makes it two

Whenever I looked in his eyes, only love I have seen

He showed me new things and made me keen

Soon one day came when I turned sixteen

He happened to tell me all that was unseen

He was always there to listen and share

He taught me never ever to compare

We shared a common book of prayer

With in my heart I started building, a castle in the Air

Then I was told it might be remain as dream forever

From which I was unaware

He was there when I needed him most

It always warmed me to know how much we are close

He was there to soothe me when I was hurt

He never let my heart burnt

When I faced biggest fears,

He was there to wipe my tears

He helped me making right choices

With that my worries always disappeared

I always looked upon him to be by my side

He was the man who helped me in glide

He is my daddy and he loves me with a manly charm

My love for him will always continue to grow

How much his love I treasure I perceive he know

He mean the world to me, still I am his little girl

No matter if we are going to be apart

But I will forever be in his heart

I will constantly remember the time I spent your knees

Just one more time DADDY with you I want to play

When you come back home from office after a hectic day

Daddy you are the one person, who is loving and kind

I miss, when you used to come often to tell me what’s in my mind

Daddy you are my very best friend,

You are patient, helpful and strong

Whenever things went wrong

You always wished to give me a life full of world

Truly saying I don’t want because I am proud so say

Once I was my Daddy’s little girl.

Days and years passed so quick and now so near

And all through those years you have been there

There be soon my wedding day going to be near

Daddy please don’t leave me and walk down the lane

But I know your answer

You will say only then my life with him will begin!!!
