As far as I am talking about movies and the work I have done, yeah. I love it . I could talk about it for hours and hours and hours. But when it comes to me talking about me and my life and the stuff in the media, I would very much love to be someone else.

Ever wondered?

Posted by Soumya Agarwal on January 26, 2009

Have you ever wondered?

A fish out of water

A tear drop in loud laughter

A heart of a hater!

A drop in the ocean

A needle in a haystack

Walking straight in a destination

You don’t know where to go?

When you see all the doors are closed!

You don’t know

When you’re treated nicely

And when you are abused!

How is it to feel like so lost?

How is it to feel like a stranger?

How is it to feel so confused?

Have you ever felt so much low?

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED?

FIRST may not be the LAST!

Posted by Soumya Agarwal on December 20, 2008

I never knew I would be so confused …how could I judge a person in a matter of few hours? Are these hours enough to judge someone? Would it be appropriate to judge someone based on a meeting of just few hours? Would I be judging well..? Would the judgment will stay the same whole life or that will change in matter of few days? Would I regret about the judgment I made? So many questions popped up in my mind when I was asked to judge.

I won’t say I never have done this before as it is always hard to restrain yourself from judging some one. Weather we want or not but yes we judge everyone. I know it’s very hard not to judge a person, because it is human nature to be critical of others… but judging someone intentionally is very different from unconscious judging.

First judgement is always based on the person’s appearance. Looks can be deceiving, and that it is wrong and unfair to judge a person just by the way they look, dress, carry themselves etc… but then there are many who believe first impression is the last impression… But I am not the one of them….

For example most of the time I try my best not to judge a book by its cover, but it can be really hard. If the cover doesn’t attract me much I never even pick the book in my hand to look up what is inside.  Looks shouldn’t be something we usually consider, because we can’t help the way we look.

But now I am going to contradict myself from the above statement I made. I think people both consciously and subconsciously express themselves through their appearance. So it would be somewhat fair to judge by looks. I know just by looking at certain people that I won’t share their political, religious, personal opinions. I do sum them up into a cliche. It’s probably human nature.

Always take the time to get to know someone before passing any sort of judgment on them. It takes some people a while to reveal their true self. Two of my best friends were people that I probably would have never dreamed being friends with upon first glance, but I realized that I had nothing to lose by getting to know them.

We’ve all got good and bad qualities, some of us try & hide our bad sides & exaggerate our good ones, some even manufacture alternate personalities which don’t reflect who they really are to impress or fit in with others, as for judging based on appearance, leaving personal hygeine aside. I hate people who try and act really professional, use complex words to impress, when basic vocabulary would have done. TOTALLY FAKE, BIG-SHOTS!!!!……can’t really stand them.

All the idiocy was going in my mind when I was asked to judge intentionally. But soon after few hours my mind was at peace and I felt better as I landed up with a conclusion in the end… “A wise person will not let the first impression be the final judgment.”
